Before the departure of the train, a festive atmosphere reigned at the station. The Devsthan department and relatives of the pilgrims greeted the elders going on pilgrimage by laying garlands on them to the beat of drums. Before leaving, all the guests, including the Minister for Emergency Situations, bowed to the train and wished everyone a good journey. Along with the departure of the train, the passengers chanted “Har Har Mahadev” and “Punarsar Baba”.
The Chief Minister made a big gift to the elderly: On this occasion, the Minister for Disaster Management said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had given a great gift to the state’s senior citizens in the form of a pilgrimage scheme. He said the state government respects the elderly and strives to provide them with all kinds of amenities. Chairman of the Board of Kesh Kala said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has started pensions for the elderly. On the other hand, their self-confidence and respect will increase as the pilgrimage progresses. Chairman of the Board Bhudan said that the elderly are our fathers. Our duty is to respect them. Hira Lal Harsh talked about the various government schemes. Vimarshanand Maharaj spoke about the virtues that can be acquired by going on a pilgrimage and doing it.
District collector Bhagwati Prasad Kalal said about 400 passengers from four districts in Bikaner district left on the train. About 400 more passengers will join from Jaipur and Bharatpur. The train will arrive at its destination on June 27 and return to Bikaner on July 1. During the seven-day journey, all activities, including accommodation, meals and drinks for pilgrims, will be provided by the state government free of charge.
Attending this were additional District Collector (City) Hari Singh Meena, Devasthan Department Assistant Commissioner Om Prakash Paliwal, Train Chief and Additional District Education Specialist Sunil Boda, Bikaner District Industrial Association President Dwarka Prasad Pachisia and many others.
Passengers and family members were enthusiastic: Before leaving for the pilgrimage, there was great enthusiasm among the elderly and their families. Check-in counters for all counties were installed outside near platform 6 of the railway station. Pilgrims began to arrive here from early morning. They checked the necessary documents. Department inspectors Sonia Ranga, Mahesh Sharma, Gopal Acharya, Riteish Sharma, Kishore Sharma, Rajesh Dadhich and other staff were present to resolve these matters. At the same time, 22 accompanying persons, one doctor and two medical staff also left.
Passengers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister: Atmaram Kherpuria from Suratgarh tehsil of Sriganganagar district, who went on a pilgrimage, said Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot listened to the thoughts of the elderly and invites them to visit Char Dham. On the other hand, Chanda Devi from Sriganganagar and Jamna Devi from Bikaner also expressed their gratitude for this initiative of the state government.
